Jaguars Face Texans at Wembley Stadium With Walker Little Replacing Injured Anton Harrison

The Jacksonville Jaguars will try to tighten their grip on the AFC South on Sunday when they play the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium in London, with backup Walker Little starting at left tackle in place of the injured Anton Harrison against the NFL's sack leader. Kickoff is 9:30 a.m. Eastern (2:30 p.m. in London) on NFL Network.
The Jaguars (4-1) are the designated home team for the second of back-to-back London games, a week after a 19-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Texans (1-4) arrived in London on Friday coming off their first win of the season, a 26-3 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Jacksonville is a 2.5-point favorite, according to DraftKings odds listed by ESPN, with an over/under of 42.5.
Why the game matters in the AFC South
Jacksonville leads the division by two games over the Indianapolis Colts (2-3) and by three over Houston, with Tennessee winless at 0-5. A win would put the Jaguars four games ahead of the Texans heading into their Week 7 bye, according to Jaguars.com. A loss would pull last season's division runner-up within two games.
The two franchises have traded the AFC South title over the past four seasons, with the Jaguars winning in 2022 and 2025 and the Texans in 2023 and 2024. Last season they split the series: Jacksonville won 17-10 at home, and Houston rallied from a 19-point fourth-quarter deficit to win 36-29 in Houston on Nov. 9, 2025, with backup quarterback Davis Mills playing in place of the injured C.J. Stroud, according to The Associated Press. The Jaguars then closed the regular season with eight straight wins. Houston leads the all-time series 32-16.
Jaguars coach Liam Coen told reporters this week that his team still carries a bad feeling from that loss in Houston and expects every game against the Texans to be a fight.
Walker Little steps in at left tackle
The Jaguars placed Harrison, their starting left tackle, on injured reserve on Tuesday with a knee injury he suffered against the Eagles. He will have surgery when the team returns from London, according to the AP. Little, who has started 31 NFL games at left tackle according to Jaguars.com, gets the assignment against one of the league's most dangerous pass rushes.
Houston entered Week 6 with 18 sacks, second-most in the NFL. Defensive end Will Anderson Jr. leads the league with 7.5 sacks, including three last week against Tennessee, along with 10 tackles for loss. Danielle Hunter has three sacks on the other side. The Texans have recorded at least one sack in 26 straight games, a franchise record. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was strip-sacked twice against Philadelphia, though the Jaguars recovered both fumbles.
Coen said Friday that his defensive line will also need to pressure Stroud, who has not thrown an interception this season, so he cannot sit in the pocket and pick apart the Jaguars' secondary.
Injury report
Jacksonville ruled out cornerback Montaric Brown (hamstring) and long snapper Ross Matiscik (shoulder), who was hurt in the first quarter against the Eagles; the team signed long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer on Tuesday. Safety Eric Murray, who missed the Eagles game with a concussion, carried no game status on Friday's report and is expected to play. Safety Caleb Ransaw and defensive end B.J. Green II remain on injured reserve.
Houston ruled out starting running back David Montgomery (groin) and safety Jalen Pitre (shoulder), both injured against the Titans. ESPN reported that second-year back Woody Marks is expected to carry the load, with rookie safety Kamari Ramsey likely stepping in for Pitre. Receiver Tank Dell, working back from the severe knee injury he suffered in December 2024, did not make the trip. The Texans will, however, debut receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who gives Stroud another big target opposite Nico Collins.
Players to watch
Lawrence has completed 96 of 143 passes for 1,174 yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. He has thrown at least one touchdown pass in each of his eight London starts, the most international starts by any quarterback, and is 5-3 in those games, according to the AP. His favorite target lately has been Parker Washington, a former sixth-round pick from Penn State who leads the team with 22 catches for 352 yards and four touchdowns, including two scores against the Eagles. Washington returned a punt 96 yards for a touchdown at Wembley in 2024.
Running back Bhayshul Tuten leads Jacksonville with 349 rushing yards and two touchdowns. On defense, the Jaguars lead the NFL against the run, allowing 63.8 yards per game, and rank second in points allowed. They held Philadelphia to 22 rushing yards last week. Travon Walker leads the team with two sacks, and linebacker Foyesade Oluokun has 34 tackles.
For Houston, Stroud has completed 119 of 185 passes for 1,402 yards and six touchdowns, and Collins has 19 catches for 249 yards and three scores. Head coach DeMeco Ryans took over defensive play-calling before the Tennessee game, and the Texans are tied for the league lead with 21 completions of 20 or more yards.
Jacksonville's season so far
The Jaguars' only loss came at Denver in Week 2. Their results, according to ESPN:
| Date | Opponent | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Sept. 13 | vs. Cleveland Browns | W 34-10 |
| Sept. 20 | at Denver Broncos | L 20-13 |
| Sept. 27 | vs. New England Patriots | W 35-6 |
| Oct. 4 | at Cincinnati Bengals | W 22-17 |
| Oct. 11 | vs. Philadelphia Eagles (London) | W 19-17 |
The Eagles game ended with a 57-yard field goal by Cam Little with one second left, set up by Ameer Abdullah's 53-yard kickoff return. Penalties remain a concern: Jacksonville has 26 accepted penalties for 225 yards this season, including 13 for 100 yards against the Eagles, and flags have wiped out three Jaguars touchdowns.
London and the stadium plan back home
The Jaguars are 8-7 all-time in the United Kingdom and have played 11 games at Wembley since 2013. They are playing two London home games this season because of an agreement with the NFL to move an international game scheduled for 2030 into 2026, ESPN reported. In 2027, while EverBank Stadium undergoes its $1.4 billion renovation, Jacksonville's remaining home games will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. Team president Mark Lamping said Saturday that playing three international home games in 2027, which the team's agreement with the city allows, is unlikely. The renovated stadium is scheduled to open for the 2028 season.
Fans in Jacksonville can watch the game locally on Fox30 or NFL Network, or listen on 1010 XL and 92.5 FM, according to the team.
What's next
After Sunday's game, the Jaguars return to Jacksonville for their Week 7 bye, when Harrison is scheduled to undergo surgery. Houston, meanwhile, will try to climb back into a division race that could slip away quickly if Jacksonville wins at Wembley.
